Scottish Enterprise continues to help entrepreneurs to unlock investment

Scottish Enterprise has today unveiled the impact of its support to entrepreneurs participating in its flagship business growth and leadership programme, Unlocking Ambition.

Scottish Enterprise has so far helped 107 entrepreneurs from 79 companies across Scotland, generating millions of new direct investment revenue growth, and many new and good job opportunities in Scotland. In addition, thanks to the assistance of Scottish Enterprise, participating companies in the region will help reduce carbon emissions greatly, contributing to a more environment-friendly regional development.

 

In its third year, 38 new entrepreneurs is now joining the competitively-recruited programme where several criteria will be taken into account to the candidates, such as their individual potential, the quality of their ideas, ability to scale and their contribution to the Scottish economy from sustainable growth through investment. The latest batch of 38 entrepreneurs that represent a diverse business background will start in the program from 1 September, continuing to contribute to the green economy.

 

Over the next seven months, what programs will Unlocking Ambition offer to the participating companies to realize their ambition? First, there will be an accredited module with Babson College USA, the global leader in entrepreneur education. In addition, they will arrange masterclass sessions led by an incredible range of GlobalScots including venture capitalist Eric McAfee and Graeme Cook from Keller Group, as well as senior leaders from LinkedIn, Survey Monkey, Apple and Facebook.
