GoGlobal is a programme whose services focus on coaching to develop business competences for the internationalisation of companies. In Business Joensuu's GoGlobal programme, Piippo Oyj's first objective was to examine the development of its export processes. Soon, the export research led to the development and later production of the company's service business.
Piippo Oyj is one of the world's leading producers of nets and wire mesh and by participating in this programme they have updated their strategy. Among other actions, they are investing more in the development of their agricultural business and in an even deeper understanding of customer needs. The aim of the development work was to get closer to the world in which farmers live. The updated concept was accompanied by the creation of the Focus on Feed service.
According to Keisanen, Piippo's managing director, “it is no longer enough to be an efficient and reliable manufacturer of netting and bale wire. We have to go much deeper into the process: to understand the real customer need". In line with this, they have created "Focus on feed: no feed waste", a cloud-based service developed by Piippo Oyj that enables dairy and livestock farms to optimise the quantity, quality and correct timing of silage collection. The driving force behind this is to minimise all waste.
Good news for the agricultural sector with such a new technological developments that represent a breakthrough in R&D and, therefore, a step forward in its development and growth. We would like to congratulate Piippo Oyj on this success and our member as one of the driving forces behind it.
