Mr. Vazil Hudak to be appointed SME Envoy by the Commission

The European Commission announced today that Mr. Vazil Hudak will be appointed as the EU SME Envoy. Mr. Hudak is the former Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Slovakia's Minister for the Economy. He is going to have an important role in the implementation of the EU SME policies and the implementation of the better regulation agenda. His appointment is currently being finalised.

EURADA is part of the network of SMEs envoys which ensures the implementation effort of the SME Strategy, in particular by contributing to the work of the #SingleMarket Enforcement Task Force. The EU SME Envoy fulfils this mission through a regular dialogue with the Regulatory Scrutiny Board, by filtering EU initiatives, in collaboration with SME stakeholders. Meetings are held regularly with representatives of EU SME business organisations, to enable an improved dialogue between stakeholders and to benefit from input from the business community into the governance process.

The SME envoy will take inmdiate actions in the update of the EU Industrial strategy that has many implications with SMEs. It includes tailored financial support and measures to enable SMEs and start-ups to embrace the twin transitions.
