Mapping European Development Agencies

Article written by Jerome Friedrichs, Policy Officer

European Development Agencies can be as diverse in their institutional structure, activities and interests as the territories in which they operate.

To gain a deeper understanding of the landscape, in a strategic collaboration, the European Association of Development Agencies has partnered with the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities and launched a survey aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the European Development Agencies landscape.

The survey seeks active participation from European Development Agencies to collect valuable insights that will serve several crucial purposes.

One of the objectives of the survey is to better understand the challenges and opportunities faced by European Development Agencies, allowing the EURADA Secretariat to work for the adaptation and improvement of the initiatives to offer support services as well as offer customised support to each of our members.

The results of this survey will also serve to strengthen the representation of the interests of the agencies in the European Union institutions, turning into a contribution to the development of policies to address the specific needs of the agencies.

In addition, the Secretariat aims to develop materials showcasing the added value of Development Agencies in achieving territorial development goals at a national and regional level.

You can participate in the survey by clicking here.

To achieve these objectives the survey needs to ask many and sometimes complex questions and will therefore take some time to complete (about 30 to 60 minutes). The EURADA Secretariat kindly requests European Regional Development Agencies to consider making this investment, as the anticipated outcomes align with your interests and the interests of all stakeholders involved.

The survey will be open till the end of January.

The EURADA Secretariat encourages you to participate in the survey and pave the way for a positive change in shaping the future of European Development Agencies.
