The Junior Achievement Foundation, founded in the United States over 100 years ago, has agreed to develop several training programs with INFO to develop the skills and competencies of young people, providing them with the knowledge necessary to create startups and basic principles of financial education.
This programme aims to improve the abilities of teachers and students in the field of emerging technologies, so that young people can create significant and impactful solutions with AI and participate in international networking, enabling them to access qualified jobs that meet the demands of current companies or create their own technological and innovative businesses.
The Junior Achievement Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting youth talent, was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for the second consecutive year in 2023. It works with educational centres, business organisations and government entities to provide young people with experiences that help them develop the skills and competencies necessary to succeed in a global economy.
INFO Murcia’s CEO, Lucía de Zavala, commented: "Having been away from Junior Achievement between 2012 and 2020, I gained a new perspective on the world and its new trends in educational innovation, youth employability needs, and the world of edtech.
This learning, I have put this at the service of the Foundation on my return, and we have renewed the main programs to adapt them to the 21st century and the necessary skills to promote citizens with clear and realistic objectives, capable of operating in a global world full of new job challenges that arise today, with the ability to adapt to new technologies, such as using artificial intelligence to support their entrepreneurial ideas."
