The 4 winning ideas/entrepreneurs chosen to take part were:
1) VHappy - Free Digital Web Platform and App - Peter Ayo.
A platform designed to access all products and services aimed at the vegan and vegetarian publics in Spain through its website and app.
2) Foodtopia - Healthy and sustainable food - Cristina Cañavate.
Healthy and sustainable alternative within the food industry. Energy efficient cooking. Reduction of waste generation. Products "Made in Spain".
3) Sustainable farms - José María Donate.
Converting traditional pig and cattle farms into sustainable farms with 100% sustainable energy self-consumption. Pigs and cattle generate slurry, and slurry is considered to be a major pollutant of groundwater and soil.
4) Sustainable micro-mobility - Magno Pérez.
A prototype based on a personal mobility vehicle (zero emissions electric scooter), focused on the delivery of urban goods of medium size and weight, which require refrigeration systems within the context of green logistics and the circular economy.
There were interventions from leading professionals of the Spanish Embassy in Belgium, Chamber of Commerce, BBI JU, Greenbizz, Darwin Business Incubator, the European Crowfunding Association and the waste recycling plant of the Brussels region.
Virtual visits to the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the European Committee of the Regions took place as well.
These were wonderful days of immersion in the Brussels entrepreneurial ecosystem!
