Being a EURADA member grants access to further support and opportunities in different areas, and below you will find more information and details on the benefits and services ERUADA provides its members. Facilitating partnerships among development agencies is one of the main area of services. In their agreements among members, EURADA serves as a bridge among European development agencies and helps them to establish partnerships with each other. The main focus is the establishment of cooperation agreements between members, who are open to share their experiences and seek synergies with other regional development entities.
Likewise, the cooperation between stakeholders focuses on using EURADA as a platform to connect stakeholders of agencies with similar entities linked to other development agencies. This enlarges the possibilities of creating synergies with not only members, but with other institutions that work with them.
EURADA organises experience exchange meetingsalmost every week with the purpose of spreading and sharing the knowledge of aspects that are interesting for its members. These meetings are organised within the framework of working groups, Interregional Innovation Investment (I3) Initiative, Smart Heritage and Digitalisation, but also around projects, or simply as a response to a need of one of its members.
With a close relation to the European Union institutions, the involvement of its members to European funded calls is a must for the association. The successful participation in European projects is one of the priorities of the EURADA members, thus, providing these actors better chances to get their projects funded is another key service EURADA provides.
Early Information about calls is provided to each member monthly, receiving a summary about open calls that are scheduled to open and, in case they are interested, targeted information is sent to them. During this January, more than 10 members have already received useful information about ongoing and future calls.
As we know, entities participating in European projects are obliged to promote the exploitation of the results. EURADA, through events for the promotion of EU projects, becomes the ideal framework to disseminate the results in a variety of fields, such as innovation, business competitiveness, regional governance, circular economy or digitalization. European projects are competitive, so, in order to assess your proposal, EURADA can provide proof reading and assessment of yourproposals, via an experienced panel to give suggestion to improve it. This might be defining in getting the proposal approved or not, with the exclusivity its only for its members, up to 2 times per year. The partner searches EURADA provides are a continuous dissemination of opportunities among members. The secretariat disseminates generic cooperation profiles among members interested in participating in a specific call. This year, the service is undergoing a personalization to further identify the most suitable partners among each member´s interests and priorities. In the past month, already 5 partner searches have been successful while others are ongoing.
Utilising their existing relationships with European Institutions, every year EURADA provides more than 30 letters of support and commitment for agencies that are applying for EU funded projects. In these letters, EURADA expresses interest in the outcomes of the projects and engage the association on their dissemination.
Another useful service EURADA provides to its members is to increase the visibility of agencies through events. EURADA has an intense program of activities that includes the organisation of several events each month. The events always have a practical content providing tangible ideas to improve the impact of the agencies. The identification of suitable speakers for events is a valuable service thatEURADA provides its members. With a wide range of contacts for experts working for European institutions and regional economic practitioners, EURADA helps its members to organise events with first contacts and providing mediation with potential speakers. This year the organisation has already provided 4 of its members with valuable speakers for their events.
Further services related to increasing the visibility of the agencies with events, such as promoting the member agencies in events organised by European institutions andinfluencing the policy of the European Union by having experts actively participating in events organised by the EU institutions, leads to many opportunities to promote member’s territories. EURADA also provides specific services connected to organisation of events such as support for the management of international eventsby designing the agenda with potential speakers, or elaboration of promotional material, proceedings writing and results’ dissemination among European development agencies.
EURADA’s location in Brussels means its members have the facilities that come with being represented in the heart of Europe. The covid pandemic has been with us for more than two years now, and due to the restrictions the use of EURADA´s headquarters is limited. However, when better times come, members are welcomed at the co-working space that the association provides completewith meeting rooms, Wi-Fi, and all the necessary facilities to carry out your work. Come join us and meet the staff of EURADA. The same offices can also be used a place to organise meetings, trainings, seminars or workshops upon request. There is also a lounge area, for more informal meetings or just to have a chat with other members or our staff.
Another unique service for members is that, EURADA offers the possibility of hosting, where members could send employees to work in the premises of EURADA during several months in Brussels, when the pandemic allows. This employee shall be provided with all the facilities of the building as well as a personal set of tools (computer, desk, Wi-Fi…) in order to work from our headquarters. EURADA will also prepare an update weekly agenda of events in Brussels with recommendations to participate.
