Representing EURADA were Policy and Project Officers Jade Connoly and Jose Carpintero, who are leading the Communication and Dissemination Work Packages of the Just Fashion Project. Their participation focused on expanding EURADA’s stakeholder engagement efforts as part of the project’s ongoing stakeholder mapping activities.
The event brought together a wide range of voices from across the global textile value chain, including representatives from EU institutions, national delegations, international retail leaders, and circular economy pioneers. With introductory remarks by Financial Times correspondent Andy Bounds and EuroCommerce Director General Christel Delberghe, the agenda explored the role of trade, regulation, and innovation in shaping a more sustainable and resilient textile sector.
A presentation by Copenhagen Economics offered a detailed look into the EU’s textiles global value chains, followed by a panel discussion featuring speakers from H&M Group, the Embassy of Bangladesh, the Permanent Representation of Denmark, Hirdaramani Group, and RE&UP Recycling Technologies. The session underscored the importance of inclusive dialogue between public and private stakeholders to deliver a fair and green transition.
Jade and Jose took the opportunity to connect with key actors relevant to the textile and apparel industry, aiming to ensure that the Just Fashion Project builds on a well-informed, diverse, and representative network of stakeholders. These interactions will contribute to shaping the project's future activities and reinforcing the role of regional development agencies in supporting a just and circular transformation of the European fashion ecosystem.
