As a participating organization to Global Compact since March 2020, our member, ALDERLY - Invest in Lyon, has spent the last 24 months designing the agency’s current SDG-related picture, shaping a strategy backing up its vision with a 360° plan of actions, addressing objectives for both the Agency as an organisation and its missions towards FDI (Foreign direct investment).

In full collaboration with our stakeholders and local partners, but involving also international organisation, namely UNCTAD – and more specifically the Investment Promotion & Facilitation for Sustainable Development Department / Investment and Enterprise Division, Invest in Lyon took the leap towards a more structured path to contribute to the Agenda 2030, and hence to the 17 SDGs.

Starting in 2009 with its first Carbon Footprint assessment, we relentlessly built a roadmap to ensure that tomorrow, Invest in Lyon as an Investment Promotion & Economic Development Agency is supporting FDI with impact, Investment addressing environment and social challenges, and is allocating its resources to valuable FDI, relevant for the economy, for the territory and for the Planet.
