EURADA Summer Course 2021

When: 14-15 July

Where: Online

Launched in 2015, the first edition of EURADA’s summer course welcomed to the city of Brussels the active participation of young professionals eager to learn more about what they can do for the organisations and regional development agencies they represented. The event has since been an annual consolidate tradition for EURADA.

The two days of the 2021 Summer Course, from 9:00 to 12:30 on the 14th and 15th of July, will be an unmissable opportunity for young professionals in the field of regional economic development to acquire knowledge, establish a network of contacts, and develop practical skills useful in the preparation of high-quality project proposals for Regional Development Agencies (RDAs). The course is focused on programmes with a high level of relevance to the staff of RDAs, such as Horizon Europe, the new I3 calls funded with ERDF, Interreg Europe, Erasmus+, etc. The project proposals will support territorial cooperation, innovations in companies, and in general the economic development of the territories.

Throughout the Summer Course, participants will get the chance to interact with EU project managers who will provide useful advice in working with calls/projects. Moreover, the activities of the Summer Course will allow participants to actively participate through some practical exercises based on mock proposals; ideally these proposals and exercises will lead to the preparation of real proposals in future. On the first day of the course, presentations, project games, and interactive activities proposed by ADR Nord-Est (Romania) will take place.

On the second day the European Union Intellectual Property Rights Office (EUIPO) will give a presentation about Intellectual Property Rights and specific questions related to project management. Alongside that, we will learn about leading a project from the RDAs ACCIO and ADERLY. Lastly, various members of staff at EURADA will share top tips on budgeting, communication, and proposal-writing for European projects. After its completion, attendance certificates will be delivered.

Nevertheless, perhaps the main highlight of this training is that colleagues will be teaching other colleagues. We are grateful for these contributions to maintain the community of European regional economic development practitioners. Register for free to follow the 2021 EURADA Summer Course here.
