CLIMAAX (CLIMAte risk and vulnerability Assessment framework and toolbox) is a HORIZON Europe-funded project with the aim to provide support to European regions and communities to better understand, prepare for and manage climate risks and opportunities by providing analytical, practical and financial support to develop comprehensive multi-hazard Climate Risk Assessments.
In total, over 60 regions will receive up to, €300,000 to conduct their Climate Risk Assessments by implementing the CLIMAAX common methodology Framework and Toolbox. Throughout these phases, the selected applicants will receive support from project partners in performing regional/local analysis and multi-risk assessments. After the success of the first CLIMAAX Open Call, the second Open Call is due to launch on 15 July 2024 and closes on 15 October 2024. Throughout the Info Day, participants will learn more about the CLIMAAX project through a thorough introduction from the project coordinators together with Sophie Berger, representative of the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change. Attendees will also receive detailed information about the second Open Call, and how to submit a successful application, with insights from a successful applicant. Additionally, we will hear from one of the pilot regions about their ongoing projects and their impact. Finally, the Info Day will provide the opportunity to ask all the questions that might arise in an extended questions and answers session.
