16th MEETING OF THE SMART HERITAGE WORKING GROUP

Join us online on 29 October at 11:00 CET for the second part of our two-part series conference, "From Recognition to Action: Engaging Citizens in the Future of Smart Heritage 2.0."

In this event, experts, policymakers, and stakeholders will explore innovative strategies for engaging citizens in the preservation of cultural heritage.
This time we will have the pleasure of having two great experts who will show us an enriching and innovative vision on the subject:

  • Ms. Salome Jamburia, PhD, will present "Encouraging Community Involvement in the Exploration and Enhancement of Heritage." She will discuss European Heritage Days (EHD) activities, including the European Heritage Days Stories and Young European Heritage Makers, highlighting how they foster community engagement in heritage preservation. Salome is the Chair of European Heritage Days to the Council of Europe, has over a decade of experience in cultural heritage and international relations. She holds a PhD in Archaeology and specializes in Silk Roads archaeology and heritage management.
  • Ms. Natalia Szelachowska will present "The Lost Art of Mosaics: Reviving the Cultural Heritage of Warsaw Through Art and Community Engagement." She will showcase the "Oko na sztukę" project, which uncovers and promotes the mosaics of Zbigniew Brodowski, engaging local communities through events and digital platforms. Natalia is the President of the Research and Animation Association Flaneur. She has extensive experience in cultural project management and has organized major events in Central Europe. She is the recipient of several awards, including the 2024 Impuls Kultury for her "Eye on Art" project.
