The future of Clusters and SME’s: The European Cluster Collaboration Platform

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform is an initiative from the European Commission that aims to create an European online hub for industry clusters, and therefore strengthening the European economy through collaboration. EURADA, as part of the ECCP team, would like to inform you about the wide range of events and opportunities for Clusters and SME’s both online and offline in the EU and beyond.

Firstly, EURADA, will be involved in the organisation of the European Cluster Conference in Prague, Czech Republic.  This event, which will take place on the 27th of September 2022, aims to focus on cluster policies and initiatives allowing for the concrete implementation of the green and digital transitions in Europe’s value chains as well as strengthening their resilience On September 26th 2022, a matchmaking event will be held in a physical format. Registration for Matchmaking Event will be done through B2Match. Registered participants to the event will be contacted for the registration in this platform. In the meantime, you can register for the On-site Conference here. 

Secondly, EURADA is also organizing a second matchmaking event along with the European Commission, as well as with Enterprise Singapore and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), which will be held from the 18th to the 20th of October 2022 in Singapore. This event is organized within the Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC. Cluster organisations and SMEs from the European Union (EU), non-EU COSME countries, and Singapore will participate in the event. It will provide a unique opportunity to promote Cluster to Cluster, Cluster to Business and Business to Business exchanges between the participants. Finally, a new Call for Expression of Interest has just been published concerning the Clusters meet Regions future workshop. The First deadline for making your application is the 29th of July 2022. Within these events, national and regional clusters and policymakers come together to share experiences, secure new partnerships and to learn from one another how we can all make better use of clusters. The latter call for application is addressed to clusters, regional agencies for economic development and business network groups. Submit your interest through this link.  

ClusterXchange is a collaboration program that consists of representatives of eligible Visiting Organisations travelling to eligible Host Organisations for a short-term stay of between 3 days and 1 month. Eligible organisations include SMEs, Cluster Organisations and Scaling-up Organisations. European Strategic Cluster Partnerships for Excellence have been selected by EISMEA for the role of ensuring a smooth running of ClusterXchange. These Partnerships are aided by the ClusterXchange Support Office, managed by EURADA, that provides assists with day-to-day queries, promotion of the program, monitoring of exchanges and providing manuals and trainings.   

EURADA is pleased to be part in the promotion of these objectives, which have a similar objective: the cooperation between clusters and other economic development organisations in order to influence the future.
