Thanks to ACIISI, the Canary Islands are home to the first virtual campus in Europe specialising exclusively in the Blue Economy

Today we want to share the case of our Spanish member ACIISI with you. It has an infrastructure that allows the development of new ideas such as the one we are going to bring you now: the first virtual campus in Europe specialised in the blue economy.

The constant support and accompaniment of the ACIISI through the CIDE Network in the field of innovation have favoured the launch of the ESEA School.

The CIDE Network is a free support instrument for entrepreneurship and innovation promoted by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment, through the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society (ACIISI). This network provides its resources with advice, support, expertise and collaboration to anyone who decides to turn the slogan 'Innovation within your reach' into reality.

Factoría de Cohesión is the promoter of the first virtual campus in Europe specialising exclusively in the Blue Economy, promoting this activity as a key agent for the future. The support and continuous accompaniment of the CIDE Network in the field of innovation has been a determining factor in the launch of the School of the Blue Economy (ESEA).

Alberto Dieter Graeff Paz, delegate of Factoría de Cohesión, shares his organisation's progress and his experience with the CIDE Network in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation in a three-minute audio-visual pill, inviting institutions and companies to count on these support services that make it possible to materialise ideas and projects into concrete and tangible results.

Innovation support network

In order to provide the services of the CIDE Network, the Regional Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment has CIDE centres spread throughout the islands and is coordinated by the Canary Islands Technological Institute. The service has a technical team specialised in advising on R&D&I projects, available full-time to the companies in their area.
