Tomi Haring is now the CEO of Närhi Oy. Previously, he has worked in industry at Warkaus Works Oy (Andritz) and Waratah OM Oy as CEO, and before that, he had plenty of experience at Perlos Oyj, Lite-On Mobile Oyj and Oy Medix Biochemica Ab.
The new CEO is selected through a well-planned group work project. After an application process was completed by a preparation team which is organized by the Board of Business Joensuu, candidates went through a round of interviews and three of them made it to the final interview. According to Asko Miettinen who is the chairman of the Board of Business Joensuu, the whole dicision was unanimous. What they are looking for is a person with versatile experience in business. Also, they want someone who is goal-oriented in its work and capable of leading an expert organisation. Tomi Haring is seen to be the deliberate choice because Miettinen and other members all agree that he has all these qualities that they are looking for.
