EURADA is the leading partner towards the EU Comprehensive Guide for Vocational Training in the Wood and Furniture sector

Written by Marta Serrano - Project Manager

As partner of the ALLVIEW Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE), during the last consortium meeting in Bordeaux, EURADA staff presented the application plan of the Blueprint methodology for improving vocational training policies for the advantage of the Wood and Furniture (W&F) industrial sector.

The blueprint will be the “storytelling” of a 4-year trip that shall not stop at the project end-time in 2024.

The ALLVIEW project was designed to face critical problems observing the sector demands in terms of vocational training and upskilling of personnel involved in industries, with the major goal of the project being to improve the quality of human resources in the W&F sector (i.e., increase engagement rates in schools and outplacement) for Increasing Industry competitiveness (i.e., company growth, money…) as a direct consequence.

Building on the successful work done by the project so far, EURADA is suggesting to increase the value of the results by using Regional Stakeholder Group meetings and roll-out events to share them with the main target groups in each Member State (i.e., basically schools, companies and policy makers).

The new ALLVIEW Center of Excellence has the power to change the sector and is on its way to become the most strategic project in Europe in the field. The consortium has developed a common platform that is expected to become the “One-door shop” in the W&F sector with regards to both education and training needs to meet the demand from Industry. To give evidence and attract actors and stakeholders towards the project a mid/long term approach may foresee a sort of “Common Seal of Excellence” as a way to recognise participants and members.

EURADA maintains a pushing role towards partners as the coordinator of functional tools such as meetings and roll out events, which will allow to collect relevant inputs for the elaboration of a ‘Comprehensive EU Guide’ in the future.

Events will be hosted by participating Member States in 2023, in Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, and Germany. They will be addressed at the most outstanding stakeholders, namely decision-makers, school principals, and company and/or federation managers.

The main purpose of the initiative is to present experimental course materials, the common ALLVIEW Platform for training services and networking, lessons learned from mobility exchange , and the SWOT analysis results and identified best practices.
