The Social Development Support Programme (SOGEP) is a support programme implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in social matters through Development Agencies, such as DOKA, within the framework of the Central Government Budget Law, under the modality of guided projects. This initiative aims to eliminate social problems arising from poverty, migration and urbanisation by activating local initiatives in the provinces where it is implemented, to respond to the needs arising from the changing social structure, to enable disadvantaged segments of society to participate more actively in economic and social life, to reduce unemployment, to promote social inclusion, social entrepreneurship and to support innovation and disseminate socially responsible practices.
Concretely, the General Secretary of the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA), Onur Adıyaman, signed a new contract on 'Technological Contribution of Education to Employment' Project, within the scope of SOGEP 2022 Program. DOKA entails a relevant role in the country as it represents Artvin, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Ordu, Rize and Trabzon provinces. The contract is supported by our member, the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA) and carried out by the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education. It is aimed to train students as a qualified workforce for sectors related to the special curriculum by establishing workshops in the fields of aviation, 3D modelling and design, robotic coding and artificial intelligence.
The latter, goes in line with the principles and mission of DOKA RDA, “To improve cooperation between the public sector, private sector and non-governmental organizations, to ensure the proper and effective use of resources and to mobilise local potential, to accelerate regional development”.
