In the context of generally attention of marine renewable energy development, Bretagne Ocean Power facilitates the search for suppliers able to meet their needs for projects in France and abroad. The directory, compiled by Economic Agency of the Brittany Region (BDI), lists 165 specialised companies that already have some 260 references, including worldwide. Numerous projects in all technologies are being developed in Brittany, including the world's first floating wind farm project.
A total of 165 Breton companies are currently identified in the directory compiled by the BDI, with diversified skills, validated in France and internationally and classified by skills: Production, Studies / Project development, Construction, Installation / Logistics, Operation / Maintenance and Support services. Among these companies, around a hundred have successfully signed 260 EMR contracts in France and abroad. This expertise, validated by the project owners, is found throughout the value chain: environmental studies and measurements, engineering and equipment, steel construction, electrical equipment, energy storage and conversion, and operation and maintenance. With the construction of existing wind farms and the development of MREs, other references are still to come.
The BDI teams have produced a great piece of work that reflects BDI's know-how in identifying and pooling competencies and actors in the region. In keeping with the mission and importance of regional development agencies, this directory will enable companies to make themselves known and establish new partnerships, but also inform interested parties about the Breton value chain in renewable energies.
A piece of well-deserved news to share, both for the organisations interested in the subject and for RDAs as an inspirational initiative to replicate. We provide the full news here, as well as access to the Bretagne Ocean Power platform, by an economic agency of the Brittany Region (BDI).
