Responsibilities and tasks

The EURADA Project Officer will support the management and implementation of EU-funded projects related to Climate Issues in Regional Development and Circular Economy. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, communication and dissemination, as these tasks are essential for the success of the projects.

The candidate will:

  • Plan and coordinate content for deliverables, including reporting, planning, and implementation, as well as organising meetings, national and European seminars, and conferences, and coordinate these activities in connection with member activities, relations, and synergies with EURADA stakeholders;
  • Develop and implement detailed project and working group content.

 

Required expertise and experience

  • University degree;
  • Knowledge of English level C1;
  • Mandatory 2 years’ experience in topics related to climate change, climate adaptation, and circular economy, and EU-funded projects implementation;
  • 3+ years of professional experience in relevant fields such as: regional development policies, innovation policies, and stakeholders’ management.

 

The candidatures will be evaluated based on

  • Level of practical experience with EU-funded projects implementation related to Climate topics and Circular Economy with tasks related to Climate Policy Monitoring and Dissemination, Capacity Building, Communication, and Network and Stakeholder Engagement;
  • Level of experience in planning, analysing, and developing content for project deliverables, including reporting, planning and implementation;
  • Level of experience and organising meetings, national and European seminars, and conferences (physical and online);
  • Level of experience in developing and implementing interactive communication and dissemination activities (particularly for and with regional governments and stakeholders), including facilitation and engagement;
  • Level of experience with stakeholder identification, mapping, and community engagement;
  • Ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments;
  • Writing ability in translating complex topics into powerful messages resonating among the Brussels audience and beyond (social media and digital content, press materials, factsheets, one-pagers, etc.);
  • Innovative, entrepreneurial, and open-minded approach to project management and network development and engagement.

 

These skills will be evaluated as assets

  • Knowledge of regional development and related topics;
  • Certification in Project Management;
  • Demonstrated competencies related to market research, communication plan structuring and development, and stakeholder mapping and identification;
  • Other European languages;
  • Relevant experience in a similar role in a European or international setting.

 

What we are offering

  • 2 years full-time contract (38h/week) under Belgian law (CP 337) starting ASAP possibly in September 2024;
  • A gross salary ranging from € 2,800 to € 3,200 according to experience;
  • Additional benefits including meal vouchers and metropolitan transport costs;
  • The job is based in Brussels. It is therefore not a remote position, but EURADA has implemented a policy allowing staff to mix office and smartworking. Applicants must have the right to work in Belgium.
